German Halftrack (Sd. Kfz. 11/4)

Kit modification by Peter Bleasdale

The kit used was AFV Club's SdKfz 11/4 with a scratchbuilt rear body to represent a late war version.

Improvements / modifications to the kit are as follows:

• The rear cargo area was rebuilt using sheet & section plastic and rivets from a punch & die set.
• Individual link tracks made by AFV club were used.
• Extra bolt heads were added in a number of places.
• The tarp was made from tissue paper soaked in white glue.
• A mixture of decals were used for the markings.

Painting

The vehicle was painted in the standard late war base coat of dark yellow with a fairly rough criss cross pattern of dark green, as per my reference photos on the title page of this document.
