Added new Reference Feature - Australian Centurions in a Nutshell This is a guide to Centurion gun tank variants and places Australian versions in the context of the Centurion gun tank family. Lots of images illustrating SVN modifications and main features of each Mark and turret variant.
- Added new Gallery - Sturmgeschutz IV (Late Production)(Dragon 1:72) from Glen Porter. This little gem shows just how far the top end of Braille Scale has come. Weld beads yet!
- Heaven Cent - Part 3! There are reputedly only two Australian Centurions surviving with South Vietnam modifications intact. And we've got one of them (with 54 images)!! - Heaven Cent - Part the 4th. Added new Reference Walkaround - Centurion ARN 169031. This is a walkaround of "Bewildered", the gate guardian at Puckapunyal Army Base, Victoria, the home of the RAAC Memorial & Army Tank Museum. This vehicle has a somewhat unusual history, but the details shown here will be useful for modelling mid-production turrets.
- Heaven Cent - Part 2! For those of you who may have missed out on your new AFV Club RAAC Centurion Mk 5/1 we have it on excellent authority that James at our sponsor Albury Hobby Centre is unpacking his shipment of kits TODAY at the conclusion of his annual stocktake. - Added new Reference Walkaround - a second series of Centurion Classroom Instructional Mountings (CIMs). These CIMs were photographed some years ago at the RAAC Memorial & Army Tank Museum, Puckapunyal Victoria.
- Heaven Cent - the new AFV Club RAAC Centurion Mk 5/1 has been spotted in Sydney at Avenue Hobbies for AUD44.95 (a good price). Avenue was closed yesterday but is open again today - they've just had a large restock across many brands, so get 'em while you can! Tom's also has the Cent at AUD50.95 (not many left). They have already sold out of their initial stock of the separate track set, and there are not many Centurions left either. ALSO - the kits being landed in Australia are the First Edition with Special Parts which include a resin commander figure. Thanks to Al Bowie for the heads up.
- Added new Competition Gallery - AMMS Sydney Soviet KV Theme Build 2006 - Judgement Day. Yep, we did it - the results of the KV Theme Build are in.
- And while we were at it in the June meeting, we also settled on the next two theme builds - for September Middle East 1939-1945 Theme Build and for December Middle East 1948-1973 Theme Build. We'll keep the final logical installment, Middle East 1974 to Present, for another time to give us a chance to blow the sand out of our airbrushes! See the new pages for the rules of engagement.
- Added new Reference Walkarounds - Raupenschlepper Ost (RSO/01) and 7.5cm Pak 40/1 auf RSO (Sfl) (Raupenschlepper Ost fur 7.5cm Pak 40) (RSO/02)
- Added new Reference Walkaround - Centurion Mk 2 Armoured Recovery Vehicle ARN 169111. This Walkaround covers the Centurion ARV recently featured in the Melbourne Tank Museum auction.
- Added new Reference Walkaround - Centurion Classroom Instructional Mountings (CIMs). These CIMs were part of the recent Melbourne Tank Museum auction.
- Added new Gallery (about time!) - Panzerkampfwagen VI SdKfz 181 Ausf. E Tiger I, Schwere Panzer Abteilung 503 by Peter Bleasdale. This is an extensive modification of Dragon's Tiger I Early Production kit using scratchbuilt and kitbashed components.
- Added new Reference Walkaround - Centurion Mark 5/1 ARN 169090. This Walkaround covers the Centurion recently featured in the Melbourne Tank Museum auction. It kicks off our "Heaven Cent" reference feature on Australian Centurions which we'll be rolling out progressively to coincide with the launch of the new AFV Club kit. Stay tuned!
- Added new Reference Walkaround - Australian Cruiser Mark 1 (AC1) - Sentinel. This Sentinel is the one featured in the Melbourne Tank Museum auction and includes 90 images.
- Added new Article - Melbourne Tank Museum Auction - Sale of a Lifetime. We'll be rolling out separate walkaround coverage of the vehicles in this unique collection which was auctioned off recently. To kick off though, we offer this report on the auction, with pics (where we have them) of the various items going under the hammer together with the prices reached! Sit down before you read this.
- We've also updated the details on the M4 105mm vehicle in our Reference Feature Lost & Found - in Iraq. If you haven't seen this article yet, it's well worth a look!
- Added our first Ship Gallery - USS Frank E. Evans from Brett Morrow. Brett's detail work has to be seen to be DISbelieved, and we're applying the screws to get more pics. No pun intended.
- Added some more pics from John Quinnell and Adam O'Brien to our coverage of the NSW Model Expo.
- Added our first Aircraft Gallery from Jeff Thompson - US F-117A Fighter Bomber. This one did really well at the recent Gong Show and we've managed to get a few more images.
- Added new Gallery - The Gong Show!!, or as it's more properly known, the NSW Model Expo. Quite a few AMMS members made the trip to Wollongong on the weekend, and we were not disappointed. Another great effort by the Illawarra Plastic Modellers Association. We've got a few pics, and a plausible reason why this man is wearing a helmet!!

- Added new Reference Walkaround from Paul Handel - Japanese Type 94 Tankette Model 2594 (Improved). Paul sent us this series "from the archives" in response to our first Type 94 walkaround, and shows some excellent views of this interesting vehicle. The story accompanying the images is amazing too - the things that are stashed away in suburban garages!
- Added new Reference Walkaround - Japanese Type 94 Tankette Model 2594 (Improved) at the Australian War Memorial, Canberra, from Ron Puttee. Only two images to start with, but if anyone has any more we'd love to build up this Walkaround.

Just back from a wonderful weekend in Gosford at the Gosford Hobby Show, and with quite a haul of pics to post over the next few days. In the meantime, back to the backlog!
